D.E. Ireland is a team of award-winning authors, Meg Mims and Sharon Pisacreta. Long time friends, they decided to collaborate on this unique series based on George Bernard Shaw’s wonderfully witty play, Pygmalion. While they admit the lovely film My Fair Lady and its soundtrack proved to be inspiring, they’ve also added a cast of new characters to flesh out their own version of events post-Pygmalion. The Eliza Doolittle & Henry Higgins mysteries have twice been nominated for Best Historical Agatha Awards.
Both Michigan authors have patient husbands, brilliant daughters, and share a love of good books, tea and history. Meg and Sharon also have separate writing careers.
Meg Mims won the Western Writers of America Spur Award for her first historical novel, Double Crossing, and a Laramie Award for its sequel, Double or Nothing. She has also written several short stories for anthologies and the following contemporary romance novellas: Santa Paws, Santa Claws, Home for the Holidays, The Key to Love, The Key to Christmas, plus two western romance novellas, Winner Take All, and Holiday Hoax. Meg is writing the Shamelessly adorable Teddy Bear mystery series as Meg Macy for Kensington. Bearly Departed was released in May 2017, and Bear Witness to Murder will be out in 2018.
Sharon Pisacreta is the award winning author of three romantic suspense novels – Stolen Hearts, Magic and Moonlight, and The Lady and the Lion (the last under the pseudonym ‘Cynthia Kirk’) – and two novellas. A former magazine staff writer, she has written numerous articles, along with short stories in the mystery and fantasy genres. One of her Ellery Queen stories has been optioned for film. She is also Contributing Editor of the travel site Lake Effect Living. In 2015, she sold a cozy mystery series to Kensington under her new pen name Sharon Farrow. Dying for Strawberries, the first book in her Berry Basket series, debuted October 2016. Blackberry Burial will be published in November 2017, with Killed on Blueberry Hill to follow in 2018.
